Parallel Garden is a community for research, development and supportint sustainable project.
This hydroponic system was developed as a custom design feature for Bitcoin Coffee in Parallel Polis. It is meant to supply the Cafe with specific vegetables that are being used there (mostly leaf vegetables). It also serves for experiments that are combining growing in hydroponic system, IoT technologies, and open source in order to reach as much autonomity of the system as possible that is able to optimize growing process, and energy consumption to the most reasonable effectivity.

Is an entertaining mode to deeper understand, the fascinating data exchange from plants. Questioning the communicational possibilities.
Each plant is vital, continuously transmitting variables of capacitance from its living bodyparts. This data can be measured, translated into the MIDI protocol* and subsequently interpreted by an audio-interface.
Simply, the plant signal is bing translated to a music signal – which is being interpreted by desired sound processing device or instrument. Even more simplified – The plant is playing an instrument.
